Furniture Drive 2010

Oyate Tipi held it's 6th Annual Furniture Drive at the Golf Dome, 1205 Wilkes Ave, on Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 9 am to 4 pm.

The Board and Staff of Oyate Tipi would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in our 6th Annual Furniture Drive. The day started out rainy but even without the sun our hearts were warmed by the number of donations by Winnipeggers and the hard work of our volunteers.

We have so many people to thank for the success we had:

• All the Winnipeggers who donated
• All the wonderful volunteers
• The Golf Dome
• King's Transfer
• Ocean Trailer
• CUPE Social Service and Child Care Workers
• Waste Management

And an extra special thanks to Colleen Simard from the Winnipeg Free Press for her fabulous article!

Thanks to giving Winnipeggers, the donated furniture will help many women and children in need.
