A large donation came in to our organization and we would like to thank the superb volunteers who tirelessly put in the hours to move the donated items to our Selkirk Avenue location. Over the course of several days, many people came together as a team and Oyate appreciates every minute of hard work!| No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another. 2010 September - Annual Yard Sale
Our Yard Sale was held on September 21, 2010, and extended through to 12 pm on September 22nd. It was a great success, surpassing all of our expectations!Thanks to the Winnipeg Indian & Metis Friendship Centre for the space and thank you to all the staff and volunteers for your loyalty and perseverance in getting the job done.
To all of the people of Winnipeg who participated, a sincere thank you for your patronage.
2010 June - Annual General Meeting
Oyate Tipi held it's Annual General Meeting at the Kekinan Centre on Friday, June 4th at 12:00 p.m. Thanks to JoJo Sutherland for her remarks and opening prayer. Thank you to all of the attendees including the funders and Oyate Supporters.It was a wonderful day with good food and good friends!
2010 May - 6th Annual Furniture Drive
Oyate Tipi held it's 6th Annual Furniture Drive at the Golf Dome, 1205 Wilkes Ave, on Saturday, May 29, 2010. The event was sponsored by King's Transfer and Ocean Trailer.Thanks to giving Winnipeggers, the donated furniture will help women and children in need. To all the volunteers and staff, thank you for your hard work!
